Notes:

Early Bird Registration, 30 or more days in advance, 10% discount. Multiple attendees from the same company attending any CCC course worldwide can receive an extra 5% discount.

Exact venue/location of the referenced cities above will be announced in advance of the scheduled course.

Each training course is standard 3 day operations and maintenance training with an optional 4th day that will include a specialized in depth day of advanced tuning and surge testing. The 3 day class is a prerequisite for the additional 4th day (Advanced Tuning and Surge Testing).

Class size will be limited to encourage active participation by all attendees.

All prices include the training course, documentation, lunches and breaks for each day of the class. Prices do not include travel and living expense (ie airfare, hotel, etc.) for each attendee. Each attendee is responsible for their expenses. Hotels with special rates will be available for each course. A minimum number of attendees is required for each course. In the event that the course does not meet the minimum, the course will be cancelled. CCC will notify the registered attendees of that particular course cancellation two weeks before the course date.

Learn by Doing

Our courses are designed to prepare you for the majority of turbomachinery and process control challenges you may face. On-site training is also available to your company and can be sheduled around your plant shifts as needed (please check this page). Or, if you prefer, come to CCC's headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa, U.S.A. for training. We'd be happy to arrange your visit.

Challenges and Opportunities in Turbomachinery Control [Optimizing Your Turbomachinery Controls]

Who Should Attend
This 3-day course deals with many aspects related to the operation and control of turbomachinery trains in critical process applications. The course content will be interesting from multiple engineering points of view including Machinery, Process Control, Instrumentation, and Plant Operations perspectives. Sections are included for centrifugal & axial compressors, steam turbines, and gas turbines operations and control techniques. Topics are practical in nature covering antisurge control, compressor loadsharing techniques, steam turbine speed control, gas turbine fuel control, surge detection, and over-speed protection. Design considerations for field instrumentation, valve sizing, and optimized piping arrangement are also discussed under the overarching goal of maximizing the operating reliability & efficiency of critical turbomachinery trains.

Operations/Maintenance Series 3P/3++ [Hands-on Course for Current Users]

Who Should Attend
This course is designed for Operations & Process personnel, Instrumentation Technicians, and Maintenance Engineers. The program discusses the Operation, Maintenance and Basic configuration of CCC Series 3 Plus and Series 3++ controllers as they relate to the control of centrifugal and axial compressors, as well as steam turbines. Although covering all of the same theory as the other course, it stresses "hands-on" experience with CCC Series 3 Plus and Series 3++ controllers and CCC software tools, performance testing, surge testing practices, and advanced troubleshooting solutions. Configuration software will be covered in depth, including configuration, recorder, and downloading software. Every two to three course attendees will have their own controllers and laptop computer, complete with simulation, configuration and TrainView software.
