Doing Our Part to Slow the Spread of COVID-19
Recently we have seen the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, spread to almost every country around the world. CCC has taken action to do our part in slowing the spread of the virus, including restricting international travel, encouraging postponing or cancelling in-person meetings, and supporting work from home in certain environments. In addition to instituting our own policies, we are working to comply with our customers’ policies as well.
We anticipate project engineering that can be accomplished from remote work locations to continue with minimal impact on the schedule. However, project tasks that require face-to-face interactions, such as Factory Acceptance Tests, Cabinet assembly and Shipments, may be performed remotely, which CCC supports.
In order to maintain business continuity for the servicing of your projects in the field, including emergency support, field engineers are still traveling domestically where risk is low and internationally when approved by the local government, CCC and our customer. We are taking every precaution to limit the risk to our customers and field engineers, including not allowing travel to affected regions, having field engineers maintain a home office between trips and continuing the rigorous health testing that field engineers are subject to prior to customer visits. In addition, our field engineers continue to be available for remote support during normal office hours and for 24/7 priority support for customers with a service contract.
Social distancing, including working from home, is part of the community mitigation strategy recommended by the CDC and WHO to slow the spread of the virus.
As the situation unfolds, we will keep you updated with any additional contingency planning. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to any member of the CCC team.
